Border — is a decorated element in the form of path, which frames the edges of the
composition. Thanks to the borders, the interior looks much better. With their help, we can observe the
visual changes of the room sizes, and underline separate elements in the common picture.
One of the most interesting elements in the interior decoration of the artistic floor is borders. Its
functional destination is varied; basically it is divided into the following categories: separating,
scaled, accentuated, and corrective.
Border helps to point out any functional zone in the interior, and also to mark the boundaries of the
different spheres and the parquet pictures. Parallel with this, the border perfectly blends with any
architectural style during the interior decoration; border edging gives the completeness to the parquet
composition and can even smooth the impression from inaccuracy or deviation in the structure of the
building. Playing with combination or color resonance of the parquet and border, we can achieve the
visual increasing and decreasing of the building.
